oli’s blog needs an introduction

Hello bloggers and readers! This is my first blog, my entry into the blogging world. As an ambitious person, I seek for the zest of life in general – as my username might suggest! I’m just a regular 16 year old guy, and hobbies include cricket, rowing, watching films, facebooking, playing GTA/The Sims 3, and spending time with friends. Besides all that, the main passion of my life is reading and seeing what people has to say about their experiences, things that make life interesting, from bloggers writing about their experience of life on Pitcairn Island to more popular topics that spread like wildfire – ie: the leaked iPhone 4 in 2010.

Since I was five, I took interest in newspapers such as the New York Times and The Guardian, newspapers that always offered balanced articles/reviews of all things small and big which gave me a taster  life. So that’s what inspired me to start typing out my very own articles.

I flipped my MacBook out, got Facebook out of the way, and opened up WordPress. The registration process was relatively straightforward although there were a few to-ing and fro-ing about choosing the username. However, wading through the myriad of themes and choosing one that I really liked versus one that suited the blog’s needs the most was rather difficult. I’m a happy-go-lucky guy that likes fun layouts whilst blogging and writing articles demand more formal layouts. “Where should I draw the line?” I thought to myself. So I chose this theme on the basis less is more. The formality and simplicity of the layout combined with a modern font seemed just right.

So what shall I write about in future posts? I don’t even know yet. I’ll be going with the flow of life, writing about my experiences, ambitions, re-linking interesting and thought provoking articles. As the world moves, so do I with the rest of the world. I enjoy seeing people’s different perspectives on the one same topic/idea. This is what makes life interesting. This is how blogs should be. A place to trade experiences through the medium of articles and current views on trending topics.
